Thanks for the tips!! Its always good to hear from someone who is in it for the love of the hobby. Yeah you can make money cutting opal but thats not why I do it. I have sold many pieces and made a pretty penny doing it but the money dosen't even come close to the felling you get when you cut a perfect stone from rough. The more changlenging the bigger the rush when you put that last pollish on the stone. I love not knowing what your going to get every time you start a piece from rough. Its like christmass or hitting a big hand at black jack. There's no other felling like it. I can tell you are in this for the love of opal and for that reason you will be doing this for a long time to come. I really like dealing with someone such as your self. I haven't been able to purchase any new rough here latley but will soon and your the only one on the internet I will purchase my rough from. I'm planning a trip your way some time next year. I'd like to look you up when I do. I would love to see your operation in action and I'd love to be able to mine for my own opal in that world famous location. That would be remarkable. Justin, I just wanted to let you know that you have created a monster. I have been trying to find my niche ever since I lost the job that I had for 8 years last March. I have always loved rocks. This is not to imply that what I get from BlackOpalDIrect is anywhere close to being a rock. I have collected river rocks, huge 100 pound rocks that I do not even know what they are also some quartz, amethest and and what ever I can find. I have never been so exited about this until I came across your listings and your site. I have been struggling to decide what my future will bring and now because of you I have found the passion that has always been there but has now come out in a fierce way. Shortly after being bitten by the opal bug I happened by chance upon Black Opal Direct.
